Results of the Friday Night Sew-In!

Getting ready for a weekend vacation kept me busier than I had originally planned, but I did manage to accomplish blocks for TWO different quilts!  (I'm getting ready to see Journey in concert tomorrow night!)

These first two were cut with the Lazy Angle Ruler by Joan Hawley

These blocks were made very quickly and easily from my Basic Grey for Moda in Aspen Frost jelly roll.
Three 2.5" x WOF strips
dark
light
medium
Cut these in half diagonally
Cut out 6.5" squares in coordinating background fabric (white with red snowflakes) and cut each of those in half diagonally, too.
Arrange to suit.

This idea came from a free Moda pattern called "Jelly Roll Spin".
Here are many free jelly roll patterns on PDF from www.gobookee.net .

P.S.  From Sugarlane Quilts (the FNSI sponsor for July 2013)
