National Quilting Day Quilt Show

What better thing for celebrating National Quilting Day than to spend it at your local quilt show? That's exactly what several friends and family members and I were able to do today, so I'm on blogger to share with you! Hope you enjoy the show!

Here I am with master quilter, nationally known teacher and quilt book author Pat Speth. My DSis in law and her Dsil took Pat's class today (lucky girls!).  Her newest book "Nickel Quilts and Borders" is in my hands and you can order your own copy from Pat from her website www.patspeth.com.  She was kind enough to take time to autography her book for me and stop for a picture!  Her blog is http://www.nickelquilts.wordpress.com complete with step-by-step tutorials.

In other photos you will see nationally recognized quilter and designer Pamela Goecke Dinndorf of Aardvark Quilts with her brand new book called "Colorific" due out in May
(available now for per-order from www.amazon.com) with forward from the world famous Kaffe Fassett.

Pamela's quilts were displayed for us to enjoy today!
Her new book "Colorific" is coming out in May 2013 and is available now for pre-order at www.amazon.com

Paper-piecing, copper wire and beading made for such a pretty project - great job, Lynn!

Pretty posies

Sharon's pretty table topper has my favorite drink!

The HQ-16 was exciting to try!

Sharon made this beautiful piece with melted crayons and all-white fabric, plus free motion quilting.

"The Luck of the Irish" made by Sharon

Sharon found pretty buttons at Michael's to add sparkle to her project.

Happy National Quilting Day and All the Best!
