Great news from AccuQuilt for Civil War Chronicles Quilters!
The 700 1 1/2" HST's in the December BOM
are going to look perfect because AccuQuilt
has come to our rescue!!
This is now available for sale
and it's sew affordable at $29.99!
THANK YOU, ACCUQUILT!!!
The May BOM contains twelve half blocks
which all require rotary cutting.
The stripe is directional and caution has to be used
to be sure to cut (rotary cutters) half one direction
on your fabric and half the other direction on your striped fabric.
I highly recommend using Mary Ellen's Best Press to starch your fabric
before cutting
because these triangles can stretch!
This month, the twelve corners and the eight purple and black April BOM will be added to our
first set of sewn blocks.
See the how striped fabric from the May BOM matches up here when two triangles are
sewn together as points?
My camera couldn't capture this well close-up, but you can see that the Jan., Feb. and Mar. blocks which were all sewn together as one piece will now be "on point" after the April and May BOM's are added.
I believe that I may even purchase a bit more striped fabric for this month and "fussy cut" the stripes
in order to avoid the following:
What's next? The maroon/cream/tan in the center or possibly the green or blue blocks?
Just look at the seven hundred 1 1/2" HST's in the border for December!
Thank you for sparing my sanity, AccuQuilt!
I'm purchasing mine today so that I'll be sure
to have it!! Hmm...where's that link again...?
AND...have you signed up for our Give-Away yet?!?!?
The drawing will be held on Monday, May 16th
