For lack of better term, I've chosen to call this technique "quick roll-over" binding. There must be a name out there somewhere for this - please let me know!

I've chosen minky fabric for the fabric. It's so nice and soft that I want to use it for the binding, too, so...
I cut the minky down to 2" around the outside of the quilt top, then I created and sewed down the four "handkerchief" folded corners.
Pinning helps keep slippery minky in place if you'd like to use pins.

IDT created a nice, smooth binding - the minky didn't stretch out and get ruffled or bunched up!
Here's my finished quilt, grandson-ready!
