Lots going on!

This weekend I spent four hours cutting out the fabric for the four squares which are to be sewn for the Civil War Reproduction Feb. BOM I have saved all four different fabrics in "snack-sized" Ziploc baggies and marked them according to Fabric # and size and number of items. Harriet Hargrave advises laying out all your pieces and keeping them in order. Good advice I'm using, Harriet! Thank you :-)

(sorry about the shine on that foto!)

...and researching Lesley's blog about her experiences quilting her way through Harriet and Carriet Hargrave's "Quilter's Academy" Freshman and now Sophomore Year. I was up until 3:00 a.m. reading and then finally went to bed. Lesley's blog is just so inspiring and I found many helpful tips and resources reading the comments Harriet Hargrave has left on Lesley's quilting blog. I made many notes and wrote them into my QA books for future reference. Thank you, ladies!

This coming week I plan to begin the flying geese for the February block (see Joy's alternate Accuquilt Go! directions for the Civil War Reproduction Quilt Feb. BOM from Feb. 5, 2001 entry.)

Once I finish the four blocks for the Civil War Quilt, then I'm on to the next lesson in "Quilter's Academy".

Here's to a great week!
