Design Wall Monday

Finished the four Feb. BOM CWC

and as soon as my 1 1/2" AccuQuilt cutting die arrives from amazon.com (Feb. 19th?), I'm going to work on the second project in the Harriet and Carrie Hargrave "Quilter's Academy" Freshman year since I have all the fabrics picked out for the next several project in the series

but while I wait, today I created a door knocker pillow for my friend (and cupcakes for my family)

next weekend my Dad turns 78 and our daughter turns 17 plus our eldest son is bringing home his girlfriend to "meet the family"

I look forward to sewing and looking through all the great quilting blogs out there - it's definitely more fun and time better spent than watching television nowadays!

Thank you Judy at http://www.patchworktimes.com/ for listing "Design Wall Mondays" - I look forward to checking those out  - it will make for great reading - my neglected magazines sit next to me as I write....

Hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. Nice blog. I am doing one of my BOM in Civil War fabrics too. I may have to make some of those cupcakes even though Valentines is over. They look so good!

  2. Thank you for posting, Cecilia! Please let me know how you enjoy the cupcakes. It's perfect if you love cherry flavor! You can also use half water and half maraschino cherry juice for lighter color and flavor.
    Bon apetit!
