Woodland Winter complete!

Oops!
(I did go back and fix.)

Harriet and Carrie, I must apologize...
instead of following the instructions from your book "Quilter's Academy Freshman Year" pg. 35, I did the following:
because of time constraints and all the stopping and starting, I ended up sewing together Rows 1 and 2
again and again, then ended up with one single row at the end (see left)
This will be a quilt to make again and again - it goes together nice and quick and a person could choose to use all different kinds of fabrics.  This would be perfect for practicing quilting over and over again before quilting something larger and more intricate.

Here's a lovely note from Carrie and Harriet Hargrave to their learning quilters:

This is why I decided to organize this in my dining room coat closet:

All of the above are "Quilter's Academy" projects -
now if only I could learn to take decent photos after the sun has gone down!!

I'm looking forward now to the next class from "Quilter's Academy" Freshman Year:
Carrie's Cowboy Corral Quilt

I'm really looking forward to this because of the fussy cutting and I found really fun cowboy-themed fabrics! This ought to be the perfect Christmas present for my nine year old son....shhhh..... ;-)

At the beginning of February, I made cutting, piecing and finishing this quilt top part of my five goals for February....can I do it?!?

We'll see..........

  2. Thank you so much! Harriet and Carrie Hargrave have you create 11 tops, then border them and then quilt them - I hope to have it all done by summer and begin their Quilter's Academy sophomore year.
