Snow Flying Friday!

Friday, March 11th was my mother Dianne's birthday and she is now seventy-two years young :-)

Mother Nature sent a blizzard our way, so we stayed home to celebrate
her birthday...

While a cake baked in the oven, I finished almost all four of the CWC March BOM.

Here are my complete pieces thus far.
(My daughter's template is top right.)

Katie and Rodger helped Gma blow out her candles!

Later in the evening, we tied a quilt for grandson Aaron's birthday in April...

and Katie began work on rocknquilts template and design!
I appreciate her hard work and hope you are enjoying the lighter look.

On her art template, she created a button for you to grab and paste to your blog:

Here's the HTML code for you:

<div align="center"><a href="http://www.rocknquilts.blogspot.com" title="Rocknquilts"><img src="http://i55.tinypic.com/2eeegib.jpg" alt="A beginning quilter taking lessons from Harriet Hargrave's "Quilter's Academy" series and love to work with reproduction fabrics and civil war era quilts! Come view my page and see what else I do! :)" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

Mom and I learned so much from watching her...it was a lot of fun!
Teenagers sure know a lot more about computers than we do, it seems.

We used the website www.dafont.com where you can select from lots of interesting, different fonts.

I'd like to say,
"Thank you, Katie!"

Hope the readers like it!

Thanks for reading &/or following rocknquilts!

  3. Thanks for your comments, gals! I'll be sure to tell my Mom "Happy Birthday", Impera_Magna and this was a lot of cutting and sewing this month on CWC, wasn't it, Yvette? I have yet to measure all nine blocks to 16 1/2" and sew them all together. Have you been able to complete that already?
